Fat bombs are a great tool in a keto diet to enhance fat burn while providing satiety and promoting successful outcomes with intermittent fastings. You’ll notice that none of our fat bomb recipes use non-caloric sweeteners and are instead subtly sweet from things like coconut, herbs and spices, citrus zest and extracts. This recipe uses a base of grassfed butter to provide beneficial CLAs as well as coconut oil and is flavored with digestion-enhancing ginger and cardamom as a warming spice. This is inspired by the most amazing ginger-infused butter we ate at a restaurant in Tulum (with a fork haha) and adds orange zest and extract for a subtly sweet flavor. Pop one to extend your fast or for an easy way to hit your fat macros in keto if experiencing lack of appetite!
INGREDIENTS
6 Tbsp grassfed butter, softened
6 Tbsp coconut oil, softened
2 Tbsp orange zest
1/2 tsp orange extract
1/2 tsp cardamom
1 Tbsp fresh ginger, finely grated
pinch sea salt
DIRECTIONS
Place the ingredients in a food processor fitted with an S blade and pulse until incorporated. Place in the fridge to chill until able to scoop with a spoon or pour into tablespoon-sized molds and place in fridge to harden. Store in the fridge or freezer and pop one as needed!
