Stress Busting Smoothie

FOOD AS MEDICINE:
This smoothie combines compounds that support adrenal health while providing balance in the brain. Rich in amino acids for and cofactors for healthy stress hormone production, this smoothie helps to reset the brain and prevent depletion of serotonin and dopamine. It also provides anti-inflammatory support and L-theonine to aid as a pilot in the brain to steady stress response and provide stable calm energy.

INGREDIENTS:
1 Orange, peeled
1/4 avocado
turmeric root, 1/2 inch
4 leaves basil
2 dates, pitted
2 oz coconut milk (full fat, canned)
6 oz filtered water
2 tsp Matcha
Optional: 1/2 cup ice


DIRECTIONS:

Blend orange through green tea in Vitamix. Once mixed well, add 1/2 scoop of Whey Protect and zip in blender to incorporate. Serve as light meal or snack for one.
