Golden Bone Broth

FOOD AS MEDICINE

Whether you are having chicken or beef bone broth, adding fat and spices like turmeric can add nourishment in the form of anti-inflammatory compounds, nourishing fats and electrolytes! Dressing up your bone broth aids in making it a nourishing snack and can even be doubled to create a meal in a cup during a Bone Broth Fast! I love doing a blended broth with antioxidant boost from turmeric and cilantro (not pictured here but don't miss it). 

INGREDIENTS

1 cup bone broth of choice, here is our recipe for chicken and beef

1 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 cup full fat coconut milk

generous pinch sea salt

lime wedge

Optional: top with cilantro


DIRECTIONS

Heat the bone broth over the stove until simmering, then turn off heat. Add turmeric and  coconut milk along with a pinch of sea salt and whisk to incorporate. Squeeze lime juice into broth and top with cilantro before serving. 

Makes 1 serving
