Green Goddess Dressing

FOOD AS MEDICINE:

Avocados are a great source of vitamins E, K, and B6, as well as folate. The healthy fatty acid profile of avocados has been proven to protect against prostate and breast cancers and heart disease. Their combination of B vitamins and fatty acids aid to manage stress response and reduce excess cortisol stress hormone. Basil packs an antioxidant punch and is also a natural aphrodisiac! 

INGREDIENTS:

1 handful of basil

2 cloves of garlic, smashed

Juice of 2 lemons

1/2 avocado

1/2 tsp sea salt

3 Tbsp olive oil

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Blend all ingredients except olive oil in Vitamix.
  2. Once incorporated drizzle in olive oil while motor is running to emulsify and create a creamy texture, adding a couple tablespoons of filtered water if needed to thin. Store in a ball jar in the fridge.

Makes about 6 servings
